Ontlametse Phalatse died from a rare condition called Progeria
Question most people are asking now: Is Ontlametse Phalatse dead? Our Unfortunate answer is yes. Ontlametse Phalatse died from a rare condition called Progeria. Progeria is a rare genetic disorder which causes premature aging. This condition made her age faster than the normal expected growth rate.
During an interview, Ontlametse Phalatse said: “Well I am excited that I am really here, at the same time nervous. I don’t know what to expect probably, I am just going to dance and celebrate with the rest.”
According to her, she doesn’t have it easy growing up. She knew she was different from other children but with support from people including President Jacob Zuma, she was able to live a normal life.
Doctors had earlier estimated that had only 14 years to live. Ontlametse Phalatse’s determination to live and make a change kept her going extra years. She died at 18 years. She would have been 19 years on 20 May. You can also read her wiki or biography here.
