Ontlametse Phalatse was one of the two South African girls living with the rare condition called Progeria. She was born on 20 May 1998. Ontlametse Phalatse died at age 18.
She was from Hebron, outside Mabopane in Tshwane. Ontlametse Phalatse attended the Lorato Primary School in Hebron, near Pretoria, South Africa.
She used to call herself “first lady”. That was because she was the first black child in the world to be diagnosed with progeria. Doctors estimated that she was going to die before her 14th birthday but Ontlametse Phalatse lived pass her 14th birthday. She was 18 years on 20 May 2016.
